- The Customer’s cloud readiness and maturity were in a reasonable state.
- The Customer already has a decent-sized estate in Microsoft Azure.
- There was a relatively small amount of technical debt to analyse.
- Azure cloud services were selected to accommodate the acquisition strategy & enable the migration of assets from any new acquisitions.
- The existing on-premise estate was targeted for a migration to Azure.
- A very small proportion of the estate was targeted to be retained and investigated, primarily the mainframe and itanium based applications.
